Research Interest: Erythropoietin (EPO) is approved by FDA for administration to chronic renal disease patients and cancer patients to treat anemia, but my active area of research is to understand how EPO affects non-hematopoietic physiological response. My specific research interest is focussed on how EPO affects inflammation in the brain and periphery and regulates metabolic homeostasis
