Fengqi Hao received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in Animal Science and Preventive veterinary medicine from Jilin Agricultural University, China, in 2005 and 2008, respectively. Then, he joined the faculty of Department of Life Science and Technology at the Changchun University of Science and Technology, China, where he focused on the mechanistic investigation on intestinal immunoloregulation. From 2013 to 2018, Fengqi Hao completed the doctoral works at Northeast Normal University, China, and received the Ph.D. degree in Biology, specializing in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology. During this period, his major works in the area of cell metabolic regulation involves illustrating the mechanisms of fatty acid metabolism and Warburg effect in determination of cell fate, such as regulatory T cell differentiation, dendritic cell activation, and tumor cell proliferation.

Research Interest: Based on the previous research experience, he currently focuses on the molecular mechanism underling exercise-induced health improvement from the perspective of cellular metabolism: 1) exerkines mediates metabolic reprograming for skeletal muscle satellite cells differentiation to support skeletal muscle regeneration, 2) metabolites from carbohydrate, fatty acid and amino acids regulate proliferation or differentiation of immune cells for balancing immune homeostasis.
